Work With Shannon

Shannon engages live audiences as a guest speaker and she uses her platforms to promote diversity and inclusion in fandom communities. Her transparency and honesty on social media has created a strong following of friends, supporters, and fans.

Shannon lives in Denver, Colorado. She spends her time building upon her collection and career, hiking with her husband, and giving lots of love to her fur babies - Luna, Starbuck, and Sookie. She loves studying Japanese culture and knows how to speak, write and translate basic Japanese.

The Collector

Shannon’s childhood was spent in a small town with limited access to collectibles, so she didn’t delve into the world of collecting until she discovered Amazon Auctions in her young teens. Her collection started off with trading cards from Japan, vintage figures, original Sailor Moon manga and single-volume comics released in the USA.

Later, her search for original Japanese Sailor Moon artbooks led her to the multi-billion dollar industry of Sailor Moon merch.

Her first trip to Japan in 2016 triggered an inspiration to seriously invest in a collection and find fellow collectors online, and this quickly grew into a full room of Sailor Moon merchandise and memorabilia.

Today, her collection includes some of the hardest-to-find and rare Sailor Moon products ever created.

The Content Creator

Shannon’s history in theater led her to the brand new industry of online media right after graduating college. YouTube was just turning into a legitimate career option, so she began her content creation journey in 2008. Throughout the years she’s created a fun, engaging community of positive people who share similar values. Now, Shannon runs multiple verticals for content, including the Sailor Snubs channel and website.

Creating content about Sailor Moon was a long time coming! Shannon used her hosting and editing talents, plus a long history of discussing news and creating product reviews, to finally introduce her Sailor Snubs YouTube channel in 2017. She draws her inspiration from the colorful aesthetic of Sailor Moon and her career creating content about tech.
